Ghana Girls Connect, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to empower young women of the diaspora to pursue their creative passions.

Through workshops, training, and networking events we hope to give them the tools to turn these passions into sustainable careers. We also believe in building a social community/network.

Minority women and girls face numerous challenges in today’s world, including limited access to education and employment opportunities, a lack of representation in leadership positions, and poor health outcomes. These challenges can significantly impact their ability to lead successful and fulfilling lives, and it is imperative that we take action to address these issues.

By stepping into our H.E.E.L.S., we are making an impact through Healing, Empowering, Equipping, Love, and Strengthening women and girls of the diaspora.

The World Health Organization reports that in Ghana, there is only 1 doctor per 8,000 people, and access to proper healthcare and education, especially in reproductive health, remains a challenge for young women.
Studies show that girls with creative outlets are 75% more likely to pursue higher education, yet many girls in the diaspora and in Africa don’t have access to programs that cultivate creative skills.
While Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S., owning 42% of all women-owned businesses, they face significant barriers. Over 60% of Black female entrepreneurs report difficulty in accessing capital.
