Part-Time Positions

As Social Media Manager, you’ll take the lead on building and maintaining Ghana Girls Connect’s online presence. You’ll create and curate content that reflects our mission, engages our audience, and inspires community growth. This role is ideal for a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of digital trends.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a consistent content calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
Create original content including graphics, short videos, captions, and stories aligned with our brand voice
Monitor analytics and engagement to optimize content strategies
Collaborate with the PR and Marketing teams to promote campaigns and events
Actively engage with our community by responding to comments and fostering conversations
Requirements
Strong communication and creative skills
Experience with social media management and content creation (design, video, copywriting)
Familiarity with digital trends and nonprofit communications
Organized with the ability to plan ahead and execute consistently

As a PR Team Member, you’ll be the voice that helps bring Ghana Girls Connect’s mission to life. You’ll work on shaping narratives, crafting press releases, and building strong relationships with media outlets and community partners. This is a great role for someone passionate about storytelling, communications, and uplifting the voices of young women of the diaspora.
Responsibilities
Draft engaging press releases, media pitches, and organizational updates that highlight our programs and impact
Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and community organizations to expand our reach
Ensure consistency in messaging across press and community-facing communications
Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to amplify campaigns and events
Requirements
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Background or strong interest in PR, communications, or journalism
Ability to think creatively while maintaining professionalism

The Grant Writer will play an essential role in helping Ghana Girls Connect secure funding to expand our programs and impact. This role involves researching potential funding opportunities, drafting grant proposals, and working closely with the leadership team to align applications with our mission. It’s a great fit for someone who loves writing, storytelling with impact, and wants to build skills in nonprofit fundraising.
Responsibilities
Research grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources that align with our mission
Draft compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
Collaborate with leadership to gather program information, budgets, and impact data for proposals
Track application deadlines, submissions, and follow-up requirements
Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants, including program updates and outcomes
Requirements
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Strong research and organizational abilities
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or philanthropy
Prior experience in grant writing is a plus, but not required—training and guidance will be provided

Internship Positions

The Administrative Intern helps keep Ghana Girls Connect running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll support our day-to-day operations, learning about nonprofit management while helping to build systems that keep our programs and events thriving.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to leadership and team members
Assist with organizing files, documents, and internal systems
Help coordinate meetings, schedules, and follow-ups
Support internal communications to ensure team alignment
Contribute to the development of organizational processes and procedures

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Interest in nonprofit management, administration, or operations

As an Outreach & Events Coordinator Intern, you’ll play a critical role in bringing our community together. This role blends creativity, relationship-building, and organizational skills to help us host events that inspire, connect, and empower young women of the diaspora.
Responsibilities
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing events, workshops, and networking activities
Support outreach efforts to community partners, sponsors, and collaborators
Manage event promotion across social media, email, and partner networks
Assist with event logistics such as registration, vendors, and attendee communication
Help evaluate event outcomes and provide feedback for improvement
Requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in event planning, community engagement, or partnerships

Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and external partners

As a Marketing Intern, you’ll gain first-hand experience in nonprofit marketing and creative campaign development. You’ll work closely with the PR and Social Media teams to bring fresh ideas to life and grow awareness of our mission. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply creativity while learning how marketing drives nonprofit success.
Responsibilities
Assist with campaign brainstorming, planning, and execution
Help design and schedule content for social media platforms and newsletters
Support email marketing efforts and donor communications

The Finance Intern role offers a unique opportunity to learn about nonprofit financial operations while contributing to the sustainability of our work. You’ll gain exposure to budgeting, fundraising tracking, and donor management, helping ensure Ghana Girls Connect operates with transparency and accountability.
Responsibilities
Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting
Assist with maintaining donor databases and recording contributions
Provide research support on fundraising opportunities and grant management
Help ensure compliance with nonprofit financial standards
Learn best practices in nonprofit financial systems and stewardship
Requirements
Detail-oriented with a strong interest in finance, accounting, or business administration
