About Marsha Akoto: Marsha is a seasoned mental health professional and fourth-year Counseling Psychology PhD student at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Her expertise spans inpatient and outpatient care, community-based and school settings, and counseling centers. Passionate about culturally sensitive mental health care, she focuses on reducing mental health disparities and providing interventions tailored to the needs of underserved communities. With years of experience supporting BIPOC, immigrant, and refugee communities, Marsha has helped many tackle seasonal depression, manage stress, and find new ways to feel their best.
