BUY BLK.
Our Buy Black pop-up events allow local women-owned businesses to gain exposure and be patronized by the community. We create a space where these entrepreneurs feel empowered to continue to grow their businesses. We also provide them with networking opportunities and resources they may be lacking for their growth.
Support Women-Owned.
As we continue to uplift and bring attention to Black women-owned businesses, we're focused on empowering the next generation to build their own. This fall, GGC will host a pop-up and workshop for young entrepreneurs. Our goal is to create an environment where these young women feel supported, gain valuable exposure for their businesses, and learn practical tools from experienced female entrepreneurs. If you’re interested in participating, please fill out this form!
Here are some of our favorite Women-Owned Businesses to Support
Cocoa Shea
The founder of Cocoa Shea, Charlene Osei, is not only a proud #GhanaGirl but also a PG County native spreading Black Girl Magic. Charlene sources pure shea butter directly from her homeland, Ghana, and creates community-centered experiences where participants can personalize their shea butter. These custom shea butter-making sessions are a perfect way to meet new people, indulge in self-care, and support a local, woman-owned business!
The Gold Variety
Audrey Addo, the founder of The Gold Variety (TGV), is a proud #GhanaGirl and passionate travel enthusiast. Inspired by her love for diverse cultural experiences gained through global travel, Audrey created TGV to share those journeys with others. TGV simplifies group travel, emphasizing authentic connections and unforgettable experiences. We’re proud to call TGV a partner of Ghana Girls Connect!
Poetic Goods
Founded by Tobalase Apata, our Naija babe and fellow #ghanagirl, Poetic Goods is a movement rooted in self-love, creativity, and women's empowerment. Toba has used this platform to publish poetry books, create candles, and share her powerful voice within her community. Her impact has even graced stages like TEDx Chicago!
